Dear Body Talk, Finding you was like finding something both soft and firm - a comfortable place to be vulnerable, and a space that invites bravery. It's a place to hold my own experiences and explore those of others, creating a community that teaches by telling stories. I'm pleased there's a place where creative resources around mental health and body image are gathered together.

Dear Body Talk, You have provided me with another platform to both share my journey and make sense of it myself. By sharing your pain, your joy and the moments in- between, you can rise from the ashes of suffering and glow with rosy cheeks.
Thank you

Dear Body Talk,
The theme of mental health is something very personal to me, after being diagnosed with major depression disorder over three years ago. I have always tried to combat my mental health through my artwork, almost like a cathartic device for me to release unpleasant thoughts and feelings onto paper.  This has given me a platform to be able to share with others with experiences and practical tips to keeping healthy.

Dear Body Talk,
Thank you for this opportunity to allow myself and fellow creatives a platform to express what can go through this complex structure, which we call our minds. The stigma around mental health is crumbling away and getting together to openly share some of the struggles in our lives in a visual manner was very cathartic.

anna.04@hotmail.co.ukDear Body Talk,
Having a platform like 'Body Talk' to display my work is so important as these issues need to be spoken about and normalised in order to make real change within society moving towards a more accepting and self-loving future.

‘Dissected’ is a cathartic project for me as I was able to highlight the burden of being meaning through the tangibility of the photographic medium. Body Talk is a great space for this work to be displayed as we both share similar views on the body and its beautiful and terrible.

Dear Body Talk,
Thank you for prompting me to dive deeper into how I think about the mind-body connection. I revisited some of my favorite pieces—and pondered how to approach new kinetic works—which will undoubtedly resonate in my art approaches going forward.
